Lead Pastor

Rick JenksRick JenksRick has been married to his wife, Sandra for 36 years. Rick and Sandy have three daughters and a niece living in the Kissimmee area.  They also have four granddaughters and one grandson.

Rick was born in Michigan, but has moved all over the country from Philadelphia to Denver, from the upper lower peninsula of Michigan to the Florida Keys. To say the least all have been unique places to live and experience the life of folks in the many settings.  The only problem is at the same time they just feed Rick’s Wanderlust, which just feed his love of travel.  Some of his favorite says are: have passport will travel, packed and ready, let’s hit the road; your going where; I think you need benefit of clergy; get the idea?

Rick is a second career pastor working first as teacher and then in the insurance industry. He is a graduate of Central Michigan University and Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. He is presently working on his Doctorate of Divinity in Holistic Theology.

Rick has been the pastor of our church since July of 2009. He has been a pastor for 25 years in the Baltimore Washington and Florida Conferences.

 
Mike GreenleeMike Greenlee

Director of Youth Ministries

Mike is the Youth Director of our Church.  One of his goals to help young people put the concept of faith and service together. To focus on this goal, the youth group has now been renamed “Hands & Feet”. The tradition of God’s people has always been a balance between of faith and active ministry. Mike provides the members of Hands & Feet with opportunities to serve not just to our own Church community but in the greater community of Orange Park and Middleburg.
Mike is married to this wife, Samantha, who is also active in the life of the Church. Mike and Samantha, provide leadership for the Praise Band at the 9:45 am Sunday Service.

While Mike is attending school, he serves God in ministry with the youth of our congregation.

Business Administrator

Cheryle keeps the Church moving, a tough job in itself.  Besides administrating the business of the Church, she is also the first contact many people have with Asbury congregation.  Both are important responsibilities in the life of any Church.

Cheryle is married to her husband, Ernie and both are members of Orange Park UMC.

 Organist and Keyboard

 Debra, Debbie as we call her, has been with the Church for just a few months.  In that time she has become part of us by her outgoing personality.

Debbie plays for rehearsals and all three Sunday services. When that is combined with all the prep time she has a great deal of work.  We greatly appreciate all her work and dedication.

Debbie is married to her husband, Bernie.
